Terms of use

What these terms are

By creating a GymHouse account you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.

GymHouse is a training application: exercise catalog, routines, progress tracking, gym management and the social layer around all of that.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are 16 or 17, create it only with the permission of your mother, father or legal guardian.

The details you enter —email, name, date of birth— must be yours and true: things the app calculates for you depend on them.

Your password is yours and you shouldn't share it. If you think someone else got into your account, change it from Settings: doing so closes all open sessions, including those on other devices. For security, after several failed attempts in a row the app asks you to wait a few minutes before trying again.

This is not medical advice

GymHouse is not a medical service and does not replace a health professional.

Everything the app calculates — estimated 1RM, volume, the muscle recovery map (also based on how you sleep), your calorie and macronutrient goal, the automatic meal plan and what the artificial intelligence proposes — is an estimate built from what you record. It doesn't know how you feel today, how much stress you're carrying or whether you're dealing with an injury or a health condition.

Before starting a training plan or a meal plan, consult a professional, especially if you have a medical condition or an eating disorder, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are coming back from an injury. If something hurts, stop: when there's pain, your body decides, not the map. You train and eat at your own risk.

Community rules

What you post — workouts, photos, comments, messages to a gym — must be yours and must not:

· harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone;
· impersonate another person or a gym;
· contain sexual, violent or hateful material;
· be spam or unsolicited advertising;
· recommend doping substances or give medical advice.

You can block anyone you don't want seeing you, and report a post from its own menu. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

What happens if they're broken

Anyone can report a post, a routine, an exercise, a profile or a gym from its own «⋯» menu, choosing a reason. Reporting is private: the person reported is not told, and no public counter appears.

When we review a report we may:

• dismiss it, if the content doesn't break these rules;
• remove the content. We tell you what was removed and why;
• suspend the account, temporarily or permanently. While it lasts you can't sign in and open sessions are closed; signing in tells you until when.

Severity and repetition decide the measure. A suspension doesn't delete your data: you can still request your account's deletion and exercise your rights over it by writing to the contact address.

Your content stays yours

The photos, workouts and routines you upload are yours and remain yours.

By posting them you give us permission to store them and show them inside the app to whoever you decide can see them, according to your privacy settings and the visibility you choose for each workout. Nothing beyond that: we don't sell them and we don't hand them to third parties.

You can delete a post whenever you want.

Artificial intelligence features

Some features use artificial intelligence: recognizing a dish or a nutrition label in a photo and proposing a training plan. What they propose is automatic and can be wrong —about what's on the plate, its amounts and nutrients, or the plan—: review it before saving or following it, and keep in mind the health disclaimer in these terms.

Don't ask for anything illegal, dangerous or offensive, or include other people's data; we may refuse requests that abuse the feature. If an answer seems dangerous or offensive to you, write to us at soporte@gymhouse.app.

How the photo and the text you send are handled is explained in the privacy policy.

Gyms

Every gym on GymHouse is an independent business. Whatever you agree with it — fees, minimum term, hours, trainer — is between you and them: GymHouse is not part of that agreement and does not collect your fee.

When you become a member, and while you are one, its staff can see what the app shows them about you as a member: your visits, the routines they assign you, the measurements and notes they record about your progress and, to follow you up, your plans and routines, your training data, the data of your measurements and your nutrition (including your food diary), even if you keep them private. What they see and what they don't is in the privacy policy.

You can leave the gym whenever you want from its profile.

Premium, payments and refunds

Some features are paid: Premium and, for gyms, the gym license.

The subscription is purchased and billed through your phone's app store (Google Play or App Store), with its price and period shown before you pay. It renews automatically until you cancel it, and it's cancelled from the store itself, not from here.

When you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Since the store charges you, it also handles refunds: request them from Google Play or the App Store under their policy. If you are in Colombia, the consumer protection law (Law 1480 of 2011) gives you, for distance purchases, the right of withdrawal within the following five business days and the right to a payment reversal, on the terms and with the exceptions it sets out; if the store doesn't help you, write to us at soporte@gymhouse.app and we'll help you process it.

Coins

Coins are GymHouse virtual points: you earn them by watching a rewarded ad in full or buy them in packs, and spend them inside the app, for example on the artificial intelligence features.

A coin pack is bought and charged through your phone's store (Google Play or the App Store), with its price shown before you pay. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and its coins reach your balance when the store confirms the payment.

They are not money: they can't be sold, exchanged for money or for anything outside the app, or transferred to another account, bought ones included. Bought coins aren't refunded, except as the store's policy or the law provides (what «Premium, payments and refunds» says about refunds applies here too); if the store refunds a pack, the coins from that pack you still have are removed from your balance. How many you earn, how many you can earn per day, which packs there are and how much each feature costs is shown in the app, and may change.

If a feature you paid for with coins fails, they are refunded. Coins are lost when you delete your account, bought ones included, and we may remove coins obtained by cheating (fake accounts or automated ads).

Leaving GymHouse

You can stop using the app whenever you want.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or that is used to harm other people. When it's something that can be corrected, we'll try to tell you first.

Changes to these terms

If we change something important, the app will ask you to accept them again before you can keep using it.

The date of the latest revision appears at the end of this document. A minor wording fix won't ask you for anything.
